BRIGHTON, UK – MyHolidayLet, Brighton’s oldest established and family owned holiday rental business, today announced a donation to the Friends of Brunswick Square and Terraces Group (FBST) as part of its ongoing community support initiatives. The donation will help them with their work in preserving the Grade I listed architecture of Brunswick Square in Hove for future generations.
Founded in 1971, MyHolidayLet has been an integral part of Brighton’s tourism landscape for over five decades. This latest contribution underscores our commitment to giving back to the community that has supported its growth from a single holiday rental property to a diverse portfolio serving thousands of visitors annually.
“As Brighton’s first established holiday rental business, we feel a profound responsibility to protect and enhance the heritage that makes our city so special for both residents and visitors,” said Catherine Lane, who has led MyHolidayLet since 2006. “The architectural beauty of Brunswick Square represents an important part of our local history, and we’re honored to support FBST’s vital preservation work.”
The donation to FBST marks just one facet of MyHolidayLet’s community engagement efforts. The company regularly participates in beach clean-ups along Brighton’s shoreline and organizes volunteer days for weeding and maintaining local parks. These initiatives reflect the business’s philosophy of active community stewardship.
“We’ve welcomed over a million guests to Brighton since our founding, and each visitor benefits from the charm and character of our historic neighborhoods,” Lane added. “Our business success is intertwined with the health of our community, which is why we’re committed to these preservation and environmental initiatives.”
MyHolidayLet’s community support program has grown substantially in recent years, with employees regularly volunteering for local causes. We encourage guests to experience Brighton not just as tourists but as temporary community members who appreciate the city’s unique heritage and environment.
The Friends of Brunswick Square and Terraces Group expressed gratitude for the contribution, which will support ongoing restoration and preservation projects in one of Brighton and Hove’s most architecturally significant areas.
