Travelling in and around Brighton

Brighton is a compact city and once you are there most places are accessible on foot. However, whatever you decide there are many options of public transport that offer an easy alternative to walking around the city. There are a few options when considering how to travel around Brighton and get to your Brighton holiday home:

  • Taxi’s – Streamline Taxis are a friendly, affordable, local taxi firm – (Telephone: 01273202020). It is also possible to order a taxi from the airport straight to your Brighton holiday home and vice versa. This is the best mode of transport for large groups who need to travel around Brighton.
  • Bus – Brighton and Hove Bus Company – a fast and reliable service to get you around all parts of the city. A single will cost between £2 and £2.30, whilst a saver is £4.60 which allows for unlimited travel on most buses around the city. The website offers real-time information about the bus services and there are bus stops located close to all of our holiday homes.
  • Trains – Brighton train station is centrally located and there are frequent trains running from the airport. It is a very well connected train station, offering routes across the south coast as well as into other major UK cities. Brighton has a handful of stations, which makes it a good option for crossing the city.
  • Cycling – Brighton Bikes are one of the most popular modes of transport for the city. Just lookout for the racks dotted around the city and you can rent a bike affordably for any length of time that you require. The city is increasingly bike-friendly, with a dedicated bike lane all along the seafront.
  • Uber – We have a good Uber service in Brighton.
