Conference in Brighton – Where to Stay

page-header

Brighton is a popular destination for conferences, with venues like The Brighton Centre, the Royal Palace, the Racecourse, and the American Express Stadium all highly-rated meeting places. While you might have the location sorted, however, finding somewhere to stay – especially during a busy period – can be difficult.

Our Central Brighton Townhouse is the perfect place to stay if you are in Brighton for a conference. Situated just 150 metres from the Pier, its convenience cannot be overstated. Whether it’s an early-morning start or a late-night celebration, you’ll be right in the centre of town – so there’s no need to worry about long walks back to your accommodation.

Perhaps more importantly, we always strive to create a home-from-home, meaning you won’t be stuck somewhere soulless – our attention to detail means the properties have all the joy of a real home. Take our Sea Breeze cottage, which sleeps up to 10 people across three bedrooms. The pretty property is within walking distance of all Brighton’s sights, but if you bring your car, there’s a rarer-than-gold-dust parking space available too.

For big groups, our Sea View property makes the most of Brighton’s most exceptional asset – the sea. Sleeping up to 12 people, the duplex apartment is filled with light, and prioritises comfort. With a large lounge area and a fully-equipped kitchen, your team will be able to hang out in social spaces, while also getting a good night’s sleep.

Or perhaps you’re looking for something smaller? The Sky View and Sea View One Bed apartments are great for a bit of peace in the city. Click the links below to find out more.

Where to eat in Brighton during conferences

If you’re here for a conference, you’re probably going to need to work, too. Whether it’s late-night prep or last minute research, we’ve got you covered. With spaces in each property that are perfect for a laptop, plus unbeatable high speed internet, you’ll be able to get those final slides finessed without a hitch.

You’ll want to unwind, too. There are plenty of places for hosting group meals, last-minute meetings, and grabbing a quick coffee. Below are some of our favourite places to eat in Brighton during conference season.

The Coal Shed

The softly-lit Coal Shed, with its bespoke furniture and gentle palette, is a great place to eat regardless of your group size. The standard menu includes options like smoky Szechuan pork belly and charred honey miso chicken – which always impress. But there are more options for those visiting Brighton in a group. Their “working lunch” option allows you to keep open the laptops while you’re grabbing some much-needed fuel. Or book out “The Chef’s Library”, an impressive private dining space with room for up to 14 guests (and a menu to match).

Redroaster

For those really early morning meetings, Redroaster – open from 7am – is the place to book. Its award-winning coffee-and-brunch combinations mean that refreshments are definitely not an afterthought. A group brunch, which includes waffles, eggs, bacon and more will impress even the choosiest team members – and mean that those big meetings should run smoothly.

The Salt Room

Overlooking the seafront, The Salt Room’s private dining room will certainly impress. Seating up to 16 people, seven days a week, the bright space can be separated from the restaurant by curtains if you need to work on something private – or open it up to join the melée. The set menu includes options like Himalayan salt ribeye steak, a roast skate wing or hen of the wood, plus desserts to die for.

The Ivy

The Ivy, tucked away on The Lanes, is the ideal spot for a business brunch or a celebratory dinner. Its informal but stylish atmosphere means that whether you’re making new connections or bonding with the team, you’ll find a corner of the room just for you – and enjoy some great food (and even better drinks) in the process. The Ivy keeps some tables back, unbooked, meaning that last-minute walk-ins are very much an option (but we recommend letting them know you’re coming, especially if you’re a big group).

Browns

Really, you can’t go to Browns and not order bubbly. This well-established chain is reliable and smart – and often offers specialised menus, meaning there’s always something new to try. Try a limited-edition cocktail or seasonal menu, or treat your team to an afternoon tea. Or, for something classic, you really can’t beat a steak, some champagne, and good company.

Entertainment during Brighton conferences

We know you’re here for work, but if you’re looking for something fun to do in the evening during conference season, why not check out one of Brighton’s fantastic comedy clubs?

Brighton Komedia is one of the hottest venues in town, offering visitors the opportunity to watch shows by both young and established comedians. Graham Norton, Johnny Vegas, Tim Vine and more all started their careers here, meaning you’re likely to see burgeoning stars – and have a great evening while you’re at it. Food is available here, too, so grab something from the snack menu, or pre-order some loaded fries to dine on once you arrive.

The Secret Comedy Club has branches across the country, but seeing as Brighton is the home of live entertainment in the UK, we think this one is the best. All your panel show favourites have performed here, and the team behind the club has links with the Edinburgh Fringe, so you’re likely to see some of the most hilarious comedians working today. Line ups change all the time, but check out their Instagram account for a sneak peek if you’re curious.
