Brighton Hen Do Ideas

Here are the best things to do on a hen do in Brighton. From comedy clubs to big nights out, Brighton is the ultimate destination for your last weekend of freedom. We’ve gathered some of the most exciting things to do in the city – if you have anything in particular in mind, though, get in touch and we can offer personalised recommendations.

Don’t forget, our Central Brighton Townhouse is ideal for group bookings if you are looking for a short term rental. Booking directly is always the cheapest option – you’ll save 20% by booking your stay via this site.

Brighton nightlife

No matter whether you’re here to party all weekend, or just want quiet drinks with the girls, Brighton’s nightlife is one of the best in the UK. Head to The Golden Pineapple for cocktails, or Fortune of War for great DJs. For a raucous night out, start at Medusa Bar for cocktails and progress to Club Revenge or Patterns. End the night on the dancefloor at Shooshh – best of all, our centrally-located properties mean you’ll be close to home whenever you want to head home.

Looking for something more sophisticated? Plateau, a chic natural wine bar, has beautiful interiors and a fantastic drinks menu. Halisco pairs tacos and tequila for a stylish twist on street eats

Comedy clubs

The Forge Comedy Club from Brighton’s undisputed king of comedy, Stephen Grant, is home to the absolute best that stand-up comedy has to offer, in a superb initimate state of the art, purpose-built facility. Acts that have appeared include Romesh Ranganathan, Russell Kane, Sara Pascoe, Stephen K Amos, Rob Deering, Jen Brister, Zoe Lyons, Jen Ives, and many more.

The Komedia is also another great option and if you want something a little bit more risque. Proud Brighton, Alex Proud’s unique venue offers an array of conceptual shows, fusing modern circus, cabaret, award-winning drag artists and classic burlesque and when the cabaret performances end, top DJ’s take over the dance floor to entertain guests until the early hours.

Pottery painting

Unleash your creative side at a pottery painting class. The pastel-pink Pottery Painting Cafe is a great place to start, offering adults-only sessions into the night. Their party packages last two hours, and allow groups to bring their own drinks and nibbles.

Paintpots is Brighton’s longest-established pottery painting centre. You can BYOB here, too, or even order takeout food from one of the nearby restaurants. With a huge selection of items to paint, you’ll be free to get artistic.

Life drawing

Ah, life drawing. Once the domain of the local arts centre, now an opportunity to get creative and perhaps a bit giggly, too – we certainly won’t judge. If you’re secretly a bit of an artist, though, head down to Draw, where sessions include experimental life drawing, portrait club, and clothed portraits, too. They offer private group bookings, so get in touch if this sounds like something for your group.

Water related activities

You can all do a hen water sport activity at Lagoon watersports https://www.lagoon.co.uk/stag-and-hen-group-activities-brighton

or hire a boat at the Marina and visit Seven Sisters or just do a local trip on the coast https://www.rossboats.co.uk/hen-stag-parties

Gather the girls for brunch – ideally, bottomless brunch. Brighton has a whole host of bottomless brunch options, from the refined to the raucous. These are some of our favourites.

The Ivy – Brighton and Hove

With its stylish interior and central location a great option.

Browns – Brighton and Hove

Next door to the Ivy and also another slightly cheaper option than the Ivy.

Six – Brighton and Hove

With its stylish interiors and artisan ethos, Six is the location for a chic brunch in Brighton. The sustainable, farm-to-table menu includes a traditional farmer’s breakfast, plus vegetarian, vegan and pescatarian options.

For those looking for something more indulgent, “morning treats” – like banana bread, berry pancakes and blue cheese crumpets – are a perfect way to start the day. Best of all, there’s bottomless prosecco on offer every day for an additional £22.

The Mesmerist

The two-hour bottomless brunch at The Mesmerist is a Brighton institution. Choose from dishes like chicken tender waffles, berry waffles, or salmon-on-sourdough for a truly delicious meal. It’s the cocktails that really shine, though: think rum punch, gin tropical or, of course, prosecco. Just remember to book, as this place gets busy.

XOXO Brighton

XOXO does all the classics (eggs benedict, florentine, royale), but also keeps things down to earth. If the events of the night before mean you’re craving a bacon sandwich, they’ve got you covered. You won’t go hungry, either – dishes like steak and eggs, bubble and squeak and veggie huevos are seriously generous. The bottomless option includes unlimited prosecco, beer, cider, frozen margaritas and more for under £30.

Charles Street Tap

Charles Street Tap is a welcoming, LGBTQ-friendly pub right on the seafront. While it’s great for a night out, it shouldn’t be forgotten at breakfast time, either. Their extensive brunch menu changes regularly, so be sure to check out their website before booking. Current favourites include burgers, pizzas and full Englishes, plus some of the best cocktails in the city.

Lucky Voice

Karaoke and bottomless brunch? An iconic combination. Lucky Voice is a great shout for a hen do: scream out those noughties classics, let the bride have a solo – what’s not to love? But combining it with two hours of fabulous food and drink sounds even better to us. For £40 each, enjoy breakfast favourites, delicious cocktails and a private booth all to yourself. Sign us up.

Revolution – Brighton

Sure, you’ve ended up at Revs on a night out. But have you been there for brunch? The outpost in Brighton offers up themed bottomless brunches – recent [themes] include disco and bingo. The drinks on offer include Aperol spritz, Disaronno fizz, mimosas and more, plus mocktails if you want to keep things sober. Or you can upgrade your drinks to include pornstar martinis and Long Island iced tea. Take a look at the Revolution website to find out more.

The Breakfast Club

The Breakfast Club is, unsurprisingly, a cult favourite. Even if you don’t want to make it bottomless, there really are options for everyone here, so it’s great for a big group. And those looking for something more boozy will be pleased to know

Drag brunch

Want to elevate your brunch even more? Brighton might be the best place in the UK for drag brunch. The Charles Street Tap, alongside bottomless brunch, often puts on drag shows, so check out their website to see what’s on.

Bar Broadway

Honestly, why wouldn’t Bar Broadway have a drag brunch? This musical theatre themed eatery is the place for cabaret and karaoke – but it’s also an ideal place for a lunchtime show. Some of the best drag acts in the country grace the stage here – shows are typically three hours long – and the variety of packages mean there’s bound to be a perfect option for your group.
