Our Brighton holiday homes can offer a fantastic place to stay for families, they are all centrally located amongst Brighton’s main family attractions. There are a wide range of things to see and activities to take part in that are suitable for families with young children:

  1. The Volks Railway – Kids will love to take a ride on this Victorian railway, the oldest operating electric railway in the world. You can board at the aquarium and travel along the seafront to the marina. (Please note Volks Railways closes during the winter).
  2. The Palace Pier – A traditional seaside entertainment venue where you can buy candy floss, eat fish and chips or go on the funfair. There is a Zip Wire is also located here and the start of the Volks Railway.
  3. i360 – An impressive feat of engineering and a ride that most kids enjoy. There are also attractions such as the upside down house here, a kids playground and a paddling pool next to this.
  4. Brighton Marina has lots of eating venues suitable for kids and you can walk along the outer harbour wall. It is the starting point of many of the boat tours  such as Ross Tours. They organise pleasure trip along Brighton seafront and to places such as the Seven sisters or the Rampion windfarm. There is also a bowling alley and large cinema here. You can catch the Volks Railway here from the Palace Pier. Located next to Brighton Marina is also undercliff walk. When the tide is out kids love looking at the rock pools.
  5. Hove Lagoon Waterports have many kids watersport classes and activities. Whether you want to learn to sail, windsurf or learn any other kind of watersport this is the place to go for kids and adults.
  6. Brighton Pavilion – Good for adults too but children also enjoy seeing the former home of the Prince Regent who went on to be the King of England.
  7. Brighton Toy Museum – A charming, modest museum tucked underneath Brighton train station, with 10,000 toys and models on display from over the past 100 years.
  8. LaserZone – Stalk your opponents with state-of-the-art laser packs and phasors. Use stealth, cunning strategy and skill to score points and destroy the bases in our multi-level arena. This is based at the bottom of the West Street.
  9. Peter Pan’s Playground – An adventure playground located at one of the stops on Volks railway. With climbing frames, slides, mini crazy golf and an outdoor cafe.
  10. Drusillas Park – Just a short drive outside of Brighton, Drusillas Park is regarded as one of the best small zoos in the country; with a wide variety of animals and hands-on activities for children.
  11. Yellowave Beach Sports – This is Britain’s first beach sports centre and Brighton’s only sandy beach. They offer beach sports’ activities to all ages and abilities including: beach volleyball, beach soccer, foot volley, beach rugby and ultimate frisbee. There is also a bouldering wall and the Barefoot cafe/bar.
  12. Painting Pottery Cafe – Discover your creative side at the pottery cafe, suitable for all abilities and ages. Select your plate/bowl/mug etc and let your creative flair do the rest. Your creations can be fired and collected later that day or posted out to you.
  13.  You can also catch a bus to Saltdean and Rottingdean. There are cake and ice cream shops here and the original Art Deco Outdoor Saltdean Lido.
  14. Bike hire – Brighton is at the foot of the Downs which is a huge national park. There are many wonder cycling routes along here and bike hire is very easy in Brighton. You can also cycle avoiding cars from Hove through to Rottingdean along the seaside rout much of which avoids cars.
  15. Lewes and Barcombe Mills is a pleasant day out. You need to take directions to the Anchor Inn in Barcombe and from here you can hire a small rowing boat and row along the beautiful waterway surrounded by stunning English countryside. Afterwards you can get lunch in the outdoor gardens of the pub that serves good food or combine this with a day trip to Lewes where you can also see the Castle and can find plenty of places to eat out.
  16. Seven Sisters is about a 30 minute drive away and offers a wonderful walk with iconic scenery.
