With Christmas just around the corner a Brighton christmas getaway is the perfect way to embrace the season. Stay in one of our Brighton holiday homes and be right in the centre of Brighton’s festivities. There is plenty on offer across the city from festive events to exciting christmas shopping experiences.

Events:

There are plenty of festive events to keep you occupied across the city throughout the season:

The Christmas Light Switch on – 14th November: Lots of family entertainment to get you in the festive spirit. Juice FM radio station will be on East Street along with kid’s entertainment and prizes.

Burning the Clocks – 21st December: Every year on the 21st (the shortest day of the year); the event consists of a lantern procession and firework display before ending on the beach and burning the lanterns to celebrate the year passed. With over 2000 people taking part and 20,000 people attending it is an event not to be missed.

Royal Pavilion’s Ice Skating Rink – The ice skating rink in the Royal Pavilion Gardens is a festive experience suitable for all ages and abilities. There is also a rink-side bar and kitchen overlooking the ice.

Artist’s Open Houses – This event gives art lovers an opportunity to explore various artist’s work with the opportunity to buy. Taking place at over 100 houses across the city.

Shopping:

Whether it’s christmas present shopping or a New Year shopping break your after, Brighton and Hove have plenty on offer. There’s the big high street stores in Churchill Square -decorated inside and out with a christmas market outside from November onwards.

The Laines offer plenty of boutique and retro shops to explore – embrace the seasonal atmosphere across Brighton and Hove where there is plenty of gift inspiration.

Priscilla Queen of the Desert – Theatre Royal -Based on the smash-hit musical, a heart felt and uplifting adventure – not to be missed!
